An entire working life spent in rail engineering has equipped Graham Dutton with all the necessary skills and experience required for his current role as one of the key controllers of Angel Trains' high speed rail assets.
Based in Derby, Graham is responsible for the co-ordination of the team that manages Angel Trains' rolling stock capable of running at 125 mph, which includes Pendolinos, Class 180s, Voyagers and Intercity 125s.
His role entails understanding and co-ordinating all aspects of fleet management, including safety, commercial, reliability improvements, light and heavy maintenance, compliance to national and international standards and long-term strategic management.
Graham was sponsored by British Rail to do Mechanical Engineering at Leeds University before taking part in their graduate training scheme, which led to him becoming a Chartered Engineer.
He then took on a variety of roles with British Rail, participated in the evolution of the Eurostar project and was a consultant at Halcrow Group before joining Angel Trains.
